Mapo Tofu

In just 20 minutes, you can transform silky tofu into a delicious dinner, elevated with the umami of Four Season Scallion Sauce and the perfect flavor booster of Golden Shallot Oil.
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Heat Golden Shallot Oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic, white parts of the green onion, and dried chili, and cook for 30 seconds- until fragrant. Add the ground pork and cook for another 2 minutes while breaking up the meat with a spatula.
  2. Add chicken stock and season with oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, spicy bean paste, and ground szechuan pepper. Stir to combine and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Turn off the heat and stir in cornstarch slurry. Then, carefully stir in your tofu. Season with salt to taste if needed, and finish with sesame oil.
  4. Transfer to a bowl, sprinkle with the remaining green onions, and serve immediately over a bowl of steamed rice, or even our kai dong sun dried noodles! Enjoy!
